Went for haircut at Shunji Matsuo. Super nice experience! Hairstylist was a pretty japanese lady who styled my hair nicely at the end of the session. ^^ and even the shampooing was so enjoyable! Spent abt 1.5hrs there though i didnt cut much, and the hairstylist was so gentle with my hair ^^

SCANDAL, the all girls rock band from Japan is ready to rock your world and for the first time they will be performing live in Singapore on September 16. SCANDAL with their unique brand of aggressive pop music will be here for just one night only.

SCANDAL was formed in August 2006 comprising of four high school girls who went to the same vocal & dance school in Osaka, Japan.

They started performing as SCANDAL with their unique brand of aggressive pop music. When they started, they often performed on the street of Shiroten in Osaka Castle Park.
After a while, they started performing at clubs and music halls in the Kansan area.

In March 2008, they were invited to the “Sakura-Con”, Japanese culture convention in Seattle, and they toured six cities in the U.S drawing over 7,000 fans
In July 2008, they performed at the Japan Expo in France and the Anicomi Fes in Hong Kong.

In October 2008, “Doll”, their debut single was released. Over 40 FM/AM/CS radio stations in Japan were giving “DOLL” power play airtime.

On July 17th 2009, “Shoujo S”, their 3rd single was released which ranked 6th in the first week on Oricon chart, and 5th on Reco-choku Chakuuta Full (Full music ring tone provider) weekly chart.

On October 21st, “BEST★SCANDAL”, their first album was released and this time it ranked 5th on the Oricon chart. This is the first time in over 7 years that a band is ranked in the top during the first week of their album release. In 2009, the Japan Record Award for New Face was awarded to Scandal.

In February 2010, their single “Shunkan Sentimental” was placed in 7th on Oricon, 4th on Reco-choku.

They also released “Taiyouto Kimigaegaku STORY” in June. In July, they released their first ballad “Namidano Regret”, followed by their 2nd album “TEMPTATION BOX” which ranked 3rd place on Oricon.

In October, “Scandal nanka Buttobase” was released, and ranked 3rd on Oricon. In November their mini album “R_Girl’s Rock” once again caught the attention of the public.

Sweet Summer (new nail design 23 Jul 2011)

Love it!!! It has a vintage feel to it yet modern with the swarovski crystal ribbons~ ^^

This is gonna be the last new nail design for a while as I will prolly be resting my nails after this...I need to cos the gel solvent nearly KOed my thin nails today!!! =( The solvent is so fiendish...virtually squeezed my nails together in its effort to get the gel off. So you can imagine...the long nails (which they were supposed to cut but didnt) were scrunched into a tight cone at the tip. Yes, its as painful as it sounds but no fault of my nailist cos it was the handiwork of the helper who wrapped my nails while waiting for my nailist. (怒)

This is the mascara I recently bought from Groupon Japan...Little Witch Mote Mascara. And it's AWESOME! Makes your lashes stronger, longer, more volume and natural. It's quite lasting as well and washes away with just hot water (well not really hot hot, it washed away well enough after my shower ^^) Gonna stock up when I go Japan end of the year. ^^

A happy dream

I had a very happy dream last night which im compelled to blog about! I dreamt that i went to an awards show and it was suggested by my second sis and my big sis agreed to go too! So bizarre. Anyway, i saw jay chou and then after his performance, i went to shop. Lol.

Without buying anything, i rushed back to the venue and when i got there i realised why i was rushing becos i made it back just in time for Laruku!!! Hyde is awesome on stage as usual and then I somehow got to shake yukihiro's hand and then ken's becos they came down for interaction which is not done in real life. Haha!

Anyway im glad hyde san didnt come down cos my dream is usually opposite real life meaning i still have the chance of getting upclose and personal with him in future!!! Lol, urepi!!!! ^^v

For those who know me well, you will know that I'm a BIG BIG BIG fan of ayu. LOL. Love her to bits! More than just having a beautiful pretty and cute image, and awesome songs, the essence that is ayu has given strength to so many people, me included. It's true, many times when I feel that I cannot persevere any longer, listening to ayu has always managed to lift me up and gave me the strength I needed to continue going strong.

What's even more amazing is ayu has been lending her energy to us since her early 20s, when she herself was also very young and during a time when many of us, like myself now, am still finding our true path. My love for ayu has inspired me school projects on her in poly and also uni and I must say that both times, I've gotten a very good grade for it. Maybe cos it's a topic I'm very passionate about. Hee. So today, I would like to bring you a selection of her numerous songs for a taste of the goddess that's Hamasaki Ayumi. ^^ Enjoy!

Could only go to the gym 3 times last year!?


At the centre of the well-loved collaboration album "Checkmate", coming up next in July is the start of the tour! Very surprised to hear that you could only go the gym 3 times last year, to prepare your body, have you started your training already?


Namie: Enhancing the training at a pace of about once every three years, I do like the surprise. Once you've prepared the body, it makes sense comparatively not to have to go to the gym and work so hard this year. And so, this year, I bought the training equipment and can easily train out at home. I like the (training) menu last year so I will do my best with the same menu this year!

Last time round on your tour blog, you mentioned you looked forward to the local delicacies. Is there any food you're looking forward to this year?


Namie: Hakata's Sukiyaki shop! (It's in Fukuoka) I go there everytime but it's insanely delicious. I look forward to it again this year!
